Since 1927, Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, has produced a Christmas Concert which annually attracts an audience of 20,000 people. One of the unique features of these performances is the production of a different twenty-by sixty-foot painted mural to reflect that year's theme. These murals are designed by Hetland and painted by volunteers under Hetland's supervision. They are recycled following each concert series.
